The Neuromod Institute has issued a permanent open call for small interdisciplinary projects combining 1/ Neuroscience-cognition  and 2/ Modeling (Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics etc). A few thousand euros are awarded per project.

This should typically help to finance:

  • Invitations - guests (seminars / collaborations).
  • Conferences and other workshops.
  • Equipment (only to supplement another grant).
  • Internships, engineers (a few months) and other human ressources (e.g. indemnities for annotations, cognitive experiments, etc).
  • Part of travel expenses, if detailed justification is provided.

The NeuroMod scientific council regularly evaluates and selects proposals throughout the year on the basis of scientific excellence and real interdisciplinarity.
Proposals of approximately one or two pages (argumentation + precise budget) should be sent to
Funds will be allocated quickly and must be spent within the year.

In case of publications, you must acknowledge the funding source as such: "This work was supported by the French government through the UCA-Jedi project managed by the National Research Agency (ANR-15- IDEX-01) and, in particular, by the interdisciplinary Institute for Modeling in Neuroscience and Cognition (NeuroMod) of the Université Côte d’Azur".

Participation of the project leaders in the life of the NeuroMod Institute will be expected (participation at the yearly conference, for instance, and eventually presentation of scientific results).
