Mini Cours




The NeuroMod Institute organises seminars and mini-courses at a monthly period. Mini-courses are two successive courses lasting 1h30 each, giving an introduction on a given topic, for Master 2 students or researchers from different fields such as: psychology, linguistic, cognition, neuroscience, pharmacology, computer science, electronics, physics, mathematics, all interested in neuroscience and applications.

Each mini-course will be reccorded and released on the website.

9th January 2020, "Large scale human brain connectivity study from intracortical stimulations" - a mini-course by Olivier David

Human behaviour and cognition are linked to brain dynamics, which complexity starts to being reproduced by whole brain models in silico. These models are in desperate need of experimental data in human documenting spatial and temporal properties of large-scale connectivity that would allow to finesse and validate them. The only type of data for this purpose are the electrophysiological responses recorded during direct electrical stimulations (DES) of cortical regions performed in patients suffering from focal drug-resistant epilepsy who are explored using intracranial electrodes.
