Support for research projects

Calls for proposals

The MSI offers a number of calls for proposals for academic members of the Université Côte d’Azur to initiate or develop collaborations related to modeling and simulation. These calls are offered on a running basis and are now open; you can contact the people in charge via email. The following calls for proposals are active, and further details can be found below:

  • The First Round of Funding for Exploratory Projects (PEPS) is an ongoing call whose goal is to support collaborations occurring between UCA external partners and requiring modeling or simulation skills.
  • Support for the Organization of Working Sessions (SUNSET) is an ongoing call which aims to fund working sessions such as conferences related to modeling or simulation within UCA, or weeklong working sessions with commercial partners of the UCA.

The MSI belongs to the Modeling, Simulation, Optimization (MSO) network of the Agency for Interaction in Mathematics with Business and Society (AMIES).  When the above two calls for proposals are oriented toward mathematics, they connect on the national and European levels with:

The PEPS and SUNSET Calls for Proposals are now closed

Research projects hosted by the MSI or involving MSI staff

The MSI also hosts Université Côte d'Azur research projects that, in some cases, have received funding from other sources than the IDEX UCA JEDI project, allowing them to benefit from MSI start-up, infrastructure and/or expertise.

Thematic expertise centers' Research Projects

Within the framework of its thematic expertise centers, the MSI relies on a team of engineers to support Université Côte d’Azur research projects requiring strong skills in modeling, simulation and interactions.
