Thèmes de recherche et objectifs

MajuLab is an interdisciplinary theoretical and experimental research unit hosted by CQT at NUS and SPMS at NTU with a focus on quantum science and quantum technologies. Our main research themes revolve around quantum gases, quantum information, quantum computing and quantum photonics. We also develop research activities in chemistry of materials. Our motive is a cross-fertilization process:
- Host French researchers working full-time in Singapore for extended periods of time.
- Develop missing expertise and know-how of key interest to the partners that would have been difficult to set up separately.
- Bridge Singaporean and French partner labs into collaborative links and networks.
- Bring cross-visibility to the partners.

Equipes de recherche et objectifs

MajuLab is structured in 7 research axes:
- Quantum Matter-Theory and Quantum Matter-Experiment address ultracold gases, trapped ions, quantum phase transitions, artificial gauge fields, quantum transport, Anderson localization, strongly correlated systems, quantum thermodynamics, etc;
- Quantum Information and Computation, and Quantum Computer Science address entanglement, qubit architectures and gates, quantum simulation and correction, quantum softwares, etc;
- Quantum Photonics address hybrid systems, plasmonics, new materials for lasing, polariton devices, etc;
- Chemistry of Materials and Interfaces address surface functionalization, etc;
- Exploratory Initiatives explores and hosts new possible collaboration projects.
